The University of Cambridge is the second-oldest English-speaking University, established in 1209. There are 31 colleges in this University, with three exclusively for women, two for only graduates and the rest open to all students of either study or research.

New in University of Cambridge :
- The master of Studies ( MSt) in Advanced Subject Teaching, a two year long program from September 2012 to July 2014. The course will prepare students further, for EdD or PhD.
- Various short term diplomas and certificate programs next year, in Madingley Hall.
- Two new lecturers in the department of Philosophy, Prof. Emily Caddick and in the department of Literature, Prof. Jenny Bavidge, have been welcomed, whose online lectures will also be a part of online programs in the concerned subjects.
