University of Wisconsin offering new online degree
The University of Wisconsin Superior has come up with a new online degree program that is being offered in Health and Wellness Management. The course has been in the anvil for a year. The Associate Professor of Health and Human Performance, Dr. William Simpson, has stated that there are several other campuses of the University – Lacrosse, River Falls and Stevens Point – have made telling contributions to the entire program.
The program is set to be introduced in January 2012 and applicants for bachelor’s degrees need to have at least 60 credits or an associate degree. University officers are saying that with this program students will be better suited to deal with the wellness programs that are now being made available by insurance firms, government agencies and employers.
Spokespeople representing the university are of the opinion that the Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness Management will enable students to apply for various posts such as wellness managers, directors of sports, wellness and fitness programs and work site wellness coordinators.
