Career Challenge:

An architect must have the eye of an artist and the pragmatism of an engineer. He must be well versed with the knowledge in order to synthesis the often vague needs and desires of his clients into solid, functional, three-dimensional structures. To do this he must create and demonstrate his ideas, through both renderings, models and construction plans. But it is not just the aesthetics that needs to be considered. He must also make his designs practical and economical to build it safe, within the constraints of construction techniques. He must have knowledge about all zoning and building codes and regulations so that while preparing the end product it must be in compliance. The architect must take into account the movements of celestial bodies and the prevailing winds when he plans a structure. Everything in the environment will have an influence on how he is designing his structures and, conversely, everything about his structure, from the methods of construction to the materials used, will have an effect on the environment that surrounds it.

Thus, while aspiring architects don't have a fully-developed online option currently, but it is not difficult to imagine one or more becoming available in the next few years through advancement in technology. Students should make sure to understand whether any online courses they take will contribute to a degree down the road, and be wary of approval and certification claims in advertisements. Those who are curious, but still uncertain, whether they can make an architecture career can find online courses in the field influential.
